Masked Killer Romance BooksGhostface-style masked stalkers and killers, ranked
Monsters are fine. But if what you want on 31 October is a man in a mask outside the window, this is the shelf. Masked stalkers first, then the killers who do not bother with a mask. Every pick is a book where the mask or the murder is actually on the page, not a cover prop.
A short list on purpose. Plenty of books put a balaclava on the cover. Fewer keep it on long enough to matter. If a title is not here, it is because we were not willing to promise you the mask.
Masked stalkers who might kill for her
-
1.Zade Masked
Zade Masked
The house serial, so he goes first. Masked, tattooed, filed under know your place, and the mask never comes off. The free taste is on this site. The rest is on Patreon.
-
2.Haunting Adeline
H. D. Carlton
The masked stalker every other book gets measured against. Zade Meadows watches Adeline from inside her own gothic house, leaves roses, and kills people who deserve it. Darkness 5 of 5. Read the warning page first, properly.
-
3.Hunting Adeline
H. D. Carlton
Book two of the Cat and Mouse duet. Same mask, same man, and the hunt turns. Do not start here: read Haunting Adeline first.
-
4.Lights Out
Navessa Allen
A masked man online, a trauma nurse who asks him to break in wearing the mask, and a stalker romcom that ends up with a genuinely dangerous man circling her. The mask is a kink here, not a costume, and the jokes land between the threats.
-
5.Caught Up
Navessa Allen
Into Darkness book two. The publisher puts masked stalker in its trope list and turns the heat up to scorching. A second chance with a man who knows he is a red flag.
Killers without the mask
Slasher energy, no costume. Same body count, more daylight.
-
6.Butcher & Blackbird
Brynne Weaver
No mask, all knives-out energy: two serial killers, a rivalry and a body count, played with a dark sense of humour. The one to read if you want the slasher without the horror-film ending.
-
7.Sick Fux
Tillie Cole
Two people who were locked away together get out and go after the people who hurt them. No mask, very little mercy, and darkness at no light on this shelf.
Read the warnings first
Masked killer romance sits at the dark end of dark romance. Stalking, violence and murder are the point, and several of these books carry sexual violence warnings too. Each pick links to its warning page, and the trigger warnings A to Z explains every flag we use. Check the author's own list as well.
